Hunger Games, no its not a diet! lol Its a trilogy of the freekin best books ever!(:*
When my roommates Rachel and Abby introduced it to me, I wasn't too thrilled on reading it. Being that I would probably never have time for it being in school and work. Also, I just finished another book and I wasn't sure if it was safe enough to devote practically all my time to it! haha
Anyways to jump to the chase, they pursuaded me into it and I ended up dropping $30 on all three books, instead of $17 individually. I'm also low key weird and I can only read hard covered books. bahaha Paper back is soooo outdated. lol
Within the first week I couldn't put it down. I ended up reading it in class...at work...at home...and even when I ate! (Which says a lot!) bahaha I just finished the first book and will be starting the second one when I catch up with my school work! lol
It is better then Harry Potter and even twilight!
Here's just the jist of it:
Twenty-four are forced to enter. Only the winner survives.
In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Each year, the districts are forced by the Capitol to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the Hunger Games, a brutal and terrifying fight to the death – televised for all of Panem to see.
Survival is second nature for sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who struggles to feed her mother and younger sister by secretly hunting and gathering beyond the fences of District 12 with her bestfriend Gale. When Katniss steps in to take the place of her sister in the Hunger Games, she knows it may be her death sentence. If she is to survive, she must weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
Not to mention the boy she gets paired up with from her distict, Peeta confesses he loves her. So where does this leave Katniss.
Peeta------------Katniss--------------Gale
Let me know what you think*
