New Dreams

Okay so for those who didn't know, I have been training as an Executive Medical Assistant with a transfer in science at the Business College. Let me tell you...it is sooooo hard. Double majoring at a 2-year school sucks.

I've been talking to Kalani a lot about what he wants to become. When we first started dating last year, he was training to be a fire fighter. He was one of 10 people who got into this awesome firefighting academy and I was super excited! (I mean c'mon, who DOESN'T want to brag to people that their man is going to be a firfighter!?haha) His program was 5 years long, which would push back his mission and keep us apart...being that he couldnt visit as often as he wanted to.

After praying


and praying


and more praying!

Kalani got the answer.(and it wasn't the same as the answer I got)

But he ended up quitting his exstensive training as a fireman and decided to come to school with me. He felt that nothing is worth putting off a mission.

You're probably asking "why can't he go back AFTER his mission?" trust me...I asked that too. But I guess the age cut off for the program is 21 years old. And by the time Kalani came back from his mission, he'd be too old. Sucky, I know.

Now being a student and just doing generals,, I asked what he wanted to do with his life. Time after time, his answer was IDK, but don't worry cause I'll take care of us.

I began to get worried.

Then one day I picked him up from work and he greeted me with a more beeming smile then the one he usually gives me =)

Anyways he gets in the car and our conversation goes like this:

Kalani-Baby guess what!

Me-What?!

Kalani-I know what I wanna be=D I was thinking about it at work and I want to be able to do something I love for the rest of my life. And I love helping people. And I think I give pretty good massages....sooooooo I hope you support me on this.....but I want to be a Chiropracter=)

Me-=))) Hunny that is a great idea! You'll be soooo good at it!

So ladies and gentlemen there you have it.......my man is going to be a chiropracter! lol

Pretty nuts huh? ahaha

I began planning for the classes I need to take to finish my degree here and just didnt feel right. I couldnt believe how much MORE classes I needed to take. It'd probably put me back another year for graduation and the last thing I wanted to do was go to a 2 year school for 4 freekin years!

Then I saw the Medical Office Assistant Degree, which only required me taking like 5 more classes! I prayed for it and got the confirmation that THIS WAS IT!


I talked to Kalani about it and he felt that it was perfect!

As I made dinner for us that night, he came into the kitchen and hugged me from behind.

"How do you feel about being MY assistant, when I open my practice?We could be like that couple that works together....that way I can keep my eye on you.lol"-Kalani

Aren't we just soooo smart! Haha So there, killed two birds with one stone.

Kalani and I will be working together...if all falls through. Which I am hoping for! haha and NO we're not living in lala land, because one way or the other...its going to work out(=
